New menus for New Delhi Indian Restaurant

The New Delhi Indian Restaurant, in Penzance, had taken on a new chef, new management and a whole new menu.

The new menu had more that 100 food choices many with a description and this was a lot to fit onto an A5 folder menu.

So, I set to work and coming up with a colour scheme that suited the restaurant interior and looking at how so many menu items could be laid out in an easy to read fashion.

Moshleh, the restaurant owner, was pleased with the result and 5,000 menus were printed for £81 – to go through many of the letterboxes in the local area.

Menus are often more complex jobs that usually envisaged to the space and way that the lists are portrayed. The website at newdelhiindianpenzance.co.uk was also updated with the new menu items being sure to keep the numbered items the same for ease of ordering.

New poster for Mazey Day

Mazey Day poster

When The Tow Bar wanted a Mazey Day poster for their new venture for Golowan, they wanted something brash, bold and eye-catching.

They sent over the text and there were a lot of words, names, dates, times and prices and so I took some time sorting out a kind of format.

It was a ‘music in a marquee’ affair, so I choose a template with some decks, a mixer and added a few overlays along with some retro fonts.

I was rather pleased with the end effect and the marquee was rammed on every night – a success all round.

Increased revenue from an ecommerce website by Nigel Pengelly

Ecommerce website sees increased sales

It’s not often people contact you and say ‘thanks for what you did to my business, everything is going great’.

Such is the pattern today, that people only get it touch when something goes wrong.

Which is why I was so pleased when Zoe, from The Smock Shop, sent me an email out of the blue regarding her ecommerce website.

Her email read:

Subject: Website

Hi Nigel.

Just thought you might like to know our mail order sales are up 100% on first three months from last year.

The power of a decent website.

Thanks

Zoe

Her website at: http://thesmockshop.com/ was a delight to make, and I was really pleased with the end product. I did a fair amount of work on the search engine optimisation and now if you type in ‘cornish smock’ – it’s right there at the top.

So thank you Zoe, I’m glad I’ve got a happy client…

A new website for DG Self Storage

Dan Gough came to me looking for a new website for his new storage container business, near Redruth.

A website that was easy to navigate, that displayed the information in a clear manner and made good use of the fact that it was a secure environment.

With the brief set, I got to work and in less than two days came up with a design that was functional as well as aesthetically pleasing.

On to the next job…
